The operator and data controller of the "Tour Map" app is a natural person, contact: podpora@lightsforbands.com. We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
A. Privacy
1. What data we process
Account: email, username, optionally your name and profile picture from Google/Apple, the date of registration and sign-in, and a record of the consent granted.
Content you add yourself: places, notes, technical details, photos and files, and in particular contacts at places — the name, phone, email and company of the people you list for a place. Photos and files may contain personal data; only add them if you are authorised to do so.
Technical and operational data: to ensure security and functionality we process your IP address and access times; the IP address may also appear in the server's operational logs.
Crash reports: if the app crashes or freezes, iOS compiles a technical report (device type, system and app version, call stack) and the app sends it to our server on next launch. It is used solely to fix bugs and does not contain content you added.
Anonymous usage statistics: in anonymised form we record which features and screens are used, the app and system version, and a random session identifier. This data does not identify you, is not shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising.
Notifications (push): so we can send you notifications (e.g. about a new feature), we store a technical device identifier for delivering notifications (push token). Delivery is handled by Apple (APNs). Notifications are not required to use the app and can be turned off in iOS Settings.
Email communications: besides operational emails (account verification, password reset), we may occasionally send information about a new feature or an important change to your account email. If you don't want to receive these, write to us at podpora@lightsforbands.com and we'll remove you from the mailing.
2. Purpose and legal basis
The data is used to operate a shared catalogue of places for the professional purposes of signed-in users. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the operator's legitimate interest in the functionality and security of the app (Art. 6(1)(f)).
If you add other people's contacts, you undertake that you are authorised to do so and that you will inform those people about the processing where necessary.
3. Who has access to the data and onward sharing
Places, their technical details and contacts are visible to all signed-in users (shared catalogue). In the app's Address book you only see contacts from places you manage yourself.
Sharing by link: for an individual place you can generate a public link (containing a random token). The page of such a link is accessible without signing in and may contain contact details — only share it with people who should have access to that information.
For restaurants and business search we display data from Google Maps / Google Places. This data comes from Google; we do not store it — it is loaded live via our server.
We do not share data with third parties except processors necessary for operation: sign-in providers (Google, Apple), map tiles, in-app map and Street View (Google Maps), notification delivery (Apple Push Notification service), the email service provider and hosting. Some of them may process data outside the EU (in the USA); the transfer is covered by GDPR mechanisms.
Partner services: we may provide technical details about venues and halls (power, rigging, dimensions, capacity, photos and documents) to partner services we approve in writing — tools for production companies, rental companies and promoters. Account data and information about who entered a record are never shared. Contacts for individuals at a venue are shared only with a partner we explicitly authorise, and only as far as they are visible to signed-in users (a hidden contact is never shared); the legal basis is the legitimate interest in reaching the right person at the venue (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and anyone listed may object at podpora@lightsforbands.com and have the contact removed. Photos carry no location or other metadata (it is stripped on upload).
4. Local storage
The app stores a sign-in token and your settings on the device — this is necessary for sign-in to work and does not require consent. The app does not use advertising tools or third-party tracking; only our own anonymous statistics described above are used for improvement.
Offline package: if you download data for offline use, a copy of the catalogue is stored on your device (places, halls, tech, visit history and contacts). The data stays only on your device and you delete it with the "Delete offline data" button or by uninstalling the app.
5. Device location
If you allow location access, the app uses it solely on your device to show your position on the map and sort places by distance. The location is not sent to the server or stored. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings.
6. Retention and erasure
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. After account deletion, the account's personal data is removed and your contributions are anonymised (only the label "Deleted user" remains). Contact details of individuals can be removed on request — write to us at the contact below.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, and to its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and the right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Czechia the Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.
8. Contact
Send questions and requests regarding personal data to podpora@lightsforbands.com.
B. Terms of Use
1. Purpose and access
The app is a working tool — a shared catalogue of places — intended for signed-in users. An account is personal; you are responsible for activity under your account. By registering you confirm that you are at least 15 years old.
2. Content rules
You undertake not to add content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringes the rights of third parties (including copyright and data protection). You only add other people's contacts if you are authorised to do so.
You can report objectionable content directly in the app. Reported content is hidden immediately from other users and goes for review — we check it within 24 hours and either restore it or remove it permanently. Repeated abuse of reporting is a breach of these terms.
3. Liability and warranties
The app and its data are provided "as is". The operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or currency of place data (added by users) and is not liable for damage arising from its use.
4. Your content
Content you add remains yours. By adding it, you grant the operator and other signed-in users the right to display and use this content within the app for the purpose the app serves.
You grant the same right to partner services approved in writing by the operator — tools for people in the industry (production, rental companies, promoters) where technical details about a venue help when preparing an event. Partners receive technical details about the venue and its halls, photos, documents, simulation files and hall notes. Contacts for individuals are shared only with a partner we explicitly authorise, and only those visible in the app — a contact marked as hidden is never shared. Account data and information about who entered a record are never shared. If you entered someone else's contact, you must have their permission; it can be removed on request at any time. Every record taken over must credit the source and link back to Tour Map.
5. Restriction and termination
In case of a breach of these terms, an account may be restricted, frozen or cancelled and the added content hidden or removed. You can also delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Archive and delete account).
6. Changes to the terms
These terms may be amended over time. We will announce material changes in the app; by continuing to use the app under the current version you agree to it.
C. Licence and intellectual property
1. Licence to use
The operator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Tour Map app and website for your own needs and for the work purposes of you or your employer. You are not buying the app — you get the right to use it for as long as you hold a valid account and comply with these terms.
2. What the licence does not cover
Without our written consent you may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, lend or otherwise make the app or website available to third parties, modify them or create derivative works, reverse engineer or decompile them (except where the law expressly allows it), circumvent technical measures, or remove authorship notices, logos or trade marks.
Your account is personal and non-transferable — do not share your credentials with anyone.
3. Ownership
The app, the website, their source code, design and graphics, the name Tour Map and the logo remain the property of the operator and are protected by copyright. These terms transfer no ownership rights to you.
This does not affect the content you upload — that stays yours under section B, point 4.
4. The catalogue as a database
Taken as a whole, the venue catalogue is a database, and the operator holds the sui generis database maker's right to it under Section 88 et seq. of the Czech Copyright Act — regardless of the fact that individual records are entered by users.
Without the operator’s written consent you may not extract or re-utilise the catalogue or a substantial part of it: bulk downloading, automated crawling (scraping, bots), copying into another database, or building a competing or derivative service from it. Ordinary use — searching, browsing and downloading material for the venues you work in — is of course fine.
5. Mobile app and the App Store
In addition to these terms, use of the iPhone and iPad app is subject to Apple's standard licence agreement (Licensed Application End User License Agreement). In case of conflict, Apple's agreement governs the use of the app itself on Apple devices; these terms govern the service, the data and the catalogue.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic and disputes fall to the Czech courts. If you are a consumer, this does not affect your rights under the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
By ticking the consent box during registration you confirm that you have read these terms and policies and agree with them.
